Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) invites applications for a part-time faculty pool to teach Medical Coding online and in-person courses in the Medical Coding Specialist program. Successful candidates will reside in Wisconsin and may teach evenings or weekends based on department needs.

The position requires a minimum two years of coding experience, appropriate educational credentials, and willingness to engage in curriculum development and student advising.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s or higher in Health Information Management or related field.
• AHIMA/ AAPC certifications or RHIT/RHIA helpful, plus coding experience.
• Experience teaching medical coding online or in varied settings is desired.

Responsibilities

• Teach classroom, online and applied courses in Medical Coding.
• Advise students and monitor achievement of learning outcomes.
• Develop and assess curriculum, participate in program evaluation.
