Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) seeks dedicated part-time instructors for the Medical Coding Specialist Technical Diploma Program. Positions involve teaching online, in-class and applied courses with some evenings or weekends as needed.

Successful candidates must reside in Wisconsin and engage in curriculum development, student advising, and program evaluation. Ideal candidates will hold a health information management degree (or related) with coding certification and prior teaching

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Health Information Management, Health Care Informatics
• OR Associate's Degree AS in Health Information Technology, five (5) year (10,000 hours) of experience and training, including one (1) year of Supervision/Management in Health Information Management.

Responsabilités

• Teach classroom, online and applied courses in the Medical Coding Specialist Technical Diploma Program
• Advise students on academic issues and evaluate student achievement
• Develop and evaluate curriculum; monitor program effectiveness and budget
• Maintain equipment and order supplies; participate in departmental activities and policy development
• Possibly teach evenings or weekends and collaborate with advisory committees
