Purpose & Scope

Provides general clinical support to physicians and other staff, Answers phones, makes appointments, collects co-pays and payment, assists with billing, and adds information to the electronic medical record.

Graduation from a medical assisting degree/program is preferred.

Six Months Of Healthcare Experience Is Required.

Experience

One year of healthcare/medical - primary care/office experience is preferred.

One Year Of Medical Terminology Experience Is Required.

Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard is required.

Experience In Clinical Pharmacology Is Required.

Certification/Licensure

Medical Assistant Certification or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is preferred.

BLS certification is required.
