Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to provide patient care, perform clinical tasks, and support providers in a day-shift setting. The role involves preparing patients, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, documenting care, and coordinating scheduling and follow-up activities.

Successful candidates will have an accredited MA program, certification within one year, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
• Must obtain CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/other listed certification within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in Windows, web navigation, email, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through patient preparation, vital signs, and documentation.
• Assist with procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain aseptic techniques during preparation, procedures, and medication administration.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction.
• Prepare and organize patient charts and communicate test results and care plans.
• Schedule procedures, labs, x-rays, and surgeries; assist with pre/post-surgery information.
