Job summary

Wallowa Memorial Medical Clinic – Specialty Clinic is looking for a compassionate Medical Assistant to join the team on a part-time basis. You will provide direct patient care under supervision, supporting clinical and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

This role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and patient-centered care, with on-the-job training provided in a supportive rural setting.

Qualifications

• Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire.
• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with basic software.
• Strong customer service and professional phone skills.
• Interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork within and across departments.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient exams, procedures and treatments as directed by the physician.
• Take and document vital signs and patient histories.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are available.
• Communicate clearly with patients, providers and staff.
• Assist with care coordination and patient education.
• Support scheduling, data entry and medical record documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
