Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a medical assistant or patient care tech.
• OR completion of Medical Assistant, EMT, nurse's aide, LPN, armed services medic, or patient care technician programs.
• Rural Health Designation clinics require BLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients; answer phones and direct calls.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays and deductibles.
• Verify insurance and handle financial records for each shift.
• Perform or assist in medical procedures and tests to support examinations and treatments.
