Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Part Time Medical Assistant to support client employees and dependents at Health Centers in Hoover, AL. The role focuses on patient-centered care, from check-in to checkout, with a collaborative team and a consistent schedule.

You will interview patients, take vital signs, update records, prepare rooms, administer medications, and perform basic lab tests as allowed by state regulations.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from Premise Health approved organization or equivalent with externship completed.
• Current BLS/CPR (AHA, ARC) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Maintain patient health records accurately.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications including injections and perform approved tests.
• Assist at front desk, schedule appointments, and order supplies.
