Job summary

Duly Health and Care in New Lenox, IL is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to greet patients, assist with registration and scheduling, take vital signs, and collect health history as part of a collaborative, patient‑centered team.

You will support physicians during exams and minor procedures, conduct onsite labs (EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, urine pregnancy tests), and assist with charting, prescriptions, and pharmacy callbacks; CPR certification and MA education are required,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active medical assistant certification through AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA preferred; CPR certification required or to be obtained on hire.
• Phlebotomy certification may be completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms and provide excellent customer service.

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
