The Morristown & Morris Township Library is seeking a part-time Media Department Library Assistant to help patrons at the Media desk, assist with public computers, check in/out materials, and support light display and packing tasks. The role emphasizes customer service in a historic downtown setting.

The position offers a 10.5 hour work week, every Saturday to start, with a pension plan (DCRP) and some holidays and sick time. Apply by August 7, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Check out library materials at the Media desk.
• Assist patrons on Library public computers.
• Check in periodicals and reshelve audio-visual materials.
• Pack materials for shipment to other libraries and empty the Media drop.
• Assist with routine tasks and clerical duties as needed.
• Contribute to book displays, fliers and other creative projects.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a vibrant library setting.
