Job summary

Dayton Children's Main Campus is seeking a Med Tech/Lab Tech for a part-time 1st shift position (20 hours). The role performs a full range of diagnostic tests in the Microbiology/Virology lab, ensures quality control, and maintains equipment and supplies.

Associate's degree specializing in medical technology or equivalent military medical laboratory training is required, with certification within a year of hire. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Performs a full range of diagnostic tests and laboratory services following established guidelines.
• Maintains quality control and quality assurance aspects of testing.
• Coordinates communication among on/off-site staff and Lab Supervisor.
• Maintains equipment and stock of laboratory supplies.

Responsibilities

• Performs a full range of simple-to-complex diagnostic tests and laboratory services.
• Ensures sample suitability and stability and may collect samples.
• Maintains, monitors, and stocks laboratory supplies as directed by Lab Supervisor.
• Ensures laboratory readiness for unannounced inspections by regulatory agencies.
