Job summary

Navion of New Bern, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking Certified Medication Technicians for medication administration-related and caregiving roles. Our Medication Technicians are responsible for delivering high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in a cutting-edge Assisted Living Community.

This is a Part-Time opportunity to join a great team on 3rd Shift in supporting our residents!

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma.
• Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in written and oral form in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Ability to work with seniors and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates positive relations with residents, families and staff.
• Promotes residents' rights with dignity and respect.
• Attends in-service and required continuing education.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Documents changes in resident condition promptly.
• Operates equipment safely and follows training.
• Practices infection control in all activities.
• Reports safety violations and follows emergency procedures.
