Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the following functions, in addition to other duties as assigned:

1. Evaluate raw materials for quality and edibility.
2. Prepare specialty items such as links and ground meats per order.
3. Use wrapping and packaging equipment to prepare items for shipment.
4. Coordinate with facility mechanical staff to ensure storage areas operate according to Weis Markets, USDA, and local regulations, maintaining proper internal temperatures.
5. Maintain a safe and clean working environment to comply with safety and sanitation standards set by the company and mandated by state, federal, USDA, and OSHA regulations.
6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding weights, measures, and labeling.
7. Utilize all Weis Markets-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety gloves, and company-sponsored footwear.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
