Job Overview:

St. Louis Park Cub at the West End is seeking a dedicated part-time Meat Department team member. Responsibilities include cutting, wrapping, preparing, and stocking meat and seafood to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain meat and seafood cases
2. Perform meat and seafood cutting, wrapping, and preparation
3. Clean and sanitize equipment, cases, work area, and sales floor
4. Assist customers with product questions and suggestions
5. Answer department phone calls and respond or refer as appropriate
6. Assist in ordering and receiving shipments of meat and seafood

Job Requirements:

1. Operate equipment such as meat slicers, scales, intercoms, racks, calculators, forklifts, meat grinders, cubers, bulkers, meat mixers, patty machines, tenderizers, pressure washers, etc.
2. Ability to walk and stand for long periods
3. Basic reading, writing, math, and memorization skills
4. Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate customer service
5. Good judgment with minimal supervision
6. Follow verbal or demonstrated instructions and communicate effectively
7. Work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
8. Must be 18 years or older

Physical Requirements:

1. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
2. Pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs
3. Walking on uneven ground
4. Reaching, bending, repetitive motions
5. Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil
