Job Title: Meat Department Associate (Part-Time)

This is a part-time position responsible for processing, packaging, and stocking meat products according to Meat Standards. Duties include cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. The role may also involve performing duties of a seafood clerk when assigned.

Essential Functions and Requirements

1. Performance: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Associates must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, willingness to participate in training, and ability to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
3. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4. Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and correspondence in English. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and associates who speak only English.
5. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers using units of American currency and weight measurement.
6. Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions and handle problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
7. Certificates and Licenses: Completion of company training including orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
8. Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color, and depth perception.
9. Work Environment: Work in a cool environment (34-36°F), frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and extreme cold. Noise level is moderate to loud. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
