Horizons, a Family Service Alliance, is seeking a Meals on Wheels Driver in Cedar Rapids, IA. This part-time role runs Tue-Fri, roughly 9:00 am to 1:30 pm, delivering warm meals and a friendly face to older adults and people with disabilities, helping them stay independent at home.

You’ll handle meal deliveries, assist with packing, maintain safety and sanitary practices, complete paperwork, and support pantry operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Iowa driver's license and auto insurance.
• Clean MVR; background check required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must pass criminal history and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, timely, and temperature-appropriate meals to clients and designated drop-off locations
• Assist in packing coolers, review meal counts before distribution, and load/unload vehicles
• Perform daily safety check-ins with clients and maintain sanitary delivery practices
• Keep vehicles clean and adhere to driving laws at all times
• Complete required paperwork and communicate daily progress with your team and supervisor
• Support pantry operations and other tasks as needed
