Job summary

Horizons in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a part-time Meals on Wheels Driver to deliver warm meals to community members who rely on your visit. You will provide friendly, dependable service and ensure meals are transported safely and on time.

You will deliver to designated drop-off locations, assist with packing coolers, review meal counts, and complete required paperwork. A compassionate team player with reliable transportation is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Iowa driver's license and auto insurance.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR check required).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs; walk and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, timely, and temperature-appropriate meals to clients and designated drop-off locations.
• Assist in packing coolers, review meal counts before distribution, and load/unload vehicles.
• Perform daily safety check-ins with clients and maintain sanitary delivery practices.
• Keep vehicles clean and in working order; adhere to all driving laws at all times.
• Complete required paperwork and communicate daily progress with your team and supervisor.
• Support pantry operations and other tasks as needed.
