Job summary

Barry University is seeking a part-time Math Lab Tutor for the Miami Shores campus to support undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in the Math Lab. The tutor will provide 10–15 hours per week of one-on-one and small-group tutoring, Monday through Saturday, and will document student progress using the Math Lab systems under the guidance of the Glenn Hubert Learning Center staff.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (Master's preferred) with 3–5 years of teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education required; Master's preferred.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications for communication, reporting and data analysis.
• Experience using Scantron and other office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring to a diverse population of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.
• Document student progress and data in Math Lab systems; enter data promptly as guided by the Manager.
• Proctor student placement testing and assist with related activities.
• Participate in professional development and department meetings and training.
