Job summary

Mathnasium Bethesda is seeking a Part-time Math Instructor/Tutor to deliver engaging instruction to 1st-12th grade students using the Mathnasium Method. The role focuses on building confidence and improving math understanding in a supportive, team-teaching environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate math ability through Algebra 1; higher math preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; engage and inspire students.
• Willing to complete ~20 hours of training within 1 month of hire.
• Able to multitask across multiple students and topics.
• Professional demeanor; communicate effectively with families and staff.
• Available to work 6–10 hours across two shifts during the week and weekends, up to ~20–25 hours.

Responsibilities

• Teach using the Mathnasium Method and teaching constructs.
• Maintain good availability and provide accurate scheduling information.
• Continuously strive to become a great instructor.
• Attend staff meetings roughly every 4–6 weeks outside instructional hours.
• Teach in a student-centric way; provide encouragement and feedback.
• Support center administration and help keep the center clean and orderly.
