Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach part-time in-person courses at our Phoenix campus. The position focuses on Mathematics for Elementary Teachers II, offering a collaborative, student-centered classroom with small class sizes and a supportive, faith-based learning environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mathematics or Statistics or closely related field with high school or post-secondary teaching experience.
• Master's in Mathematics or Statistics or closely related field which requires calculus or above, or statistics coursework (e.g., Physics and Engineering).
• Candidates with a Master’s degree in any discipline and 3–5 years of experience teaching high school or post-secondary applied mathematics may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

Education

PhD in Mathematics or Statistics or closely related field with teaching experience
