Job summary

Clayton State University is seeking a Part-Time Instructor in Math Education/Teacher Education to teach undergraduate Education courses beginning in the Summer of 2026. The successful candidate will teach sections of Elementary and Math Education courses (1-2 courses per semester).

The instructor will deliver introductory Education and Math Education coursework in a variety of formats (online and in-person) and collaborate with School of Education faculty to support teacher candidates.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Education (doctoral candidates considered with requisite EDUC/MATH course experience)
• Experience teaching Elementary Education and Math Education courses at the university level
• Extensive experience in teaching and research related to P-12 education
• A commitment to responsive pedagogy and to developing strong educators across disciplines and content areas

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory Education and Math Education courses in a variety of delivery formats (online, in-person)
• Collaborate with School of Education faculty to ensure success of the School of Education's teacher candidates
