Job summary

North Georgia Technical College seeks a part-time Mathematics Instructor to deliver college-level courses at the Clarkesville campus. The adjunct faculty role focuses on curriculum development, presenting instruction, and evaluating student progress.

Under supervision of the Dean, the instructor develops syllabi, prepares lesson plans, and maintains documentation. The position offers APO lump-sum, fee-for-service payment and opportunities to support student success in a post-secondary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Math or related field with 18 graduate hours in Math/Statistics.
• Experience developing lesson outlines, presenting material, and administering tests.
• Ability to use computers and job-related software programs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with adult learners.
• Knowledge of student information systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops course syllabi, goals, and objectives.
• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited courses.
• Evaluates students’ progress toward goals and objectives.
• Maintains required documentation and administrative reports.
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
• Assists with recruitment, retention, and student support services.
