Job summary

Pima Community College's Mathematics Division is seeking dedicated part-time instructors to join a pool for 2026-27 and beyond, to teach academic level math courses. Instructors may be assigned to specific courses or kept in a pool for future enrollment-based assignments.

Responsibilities include teaching, following grading and attendance protocols, using active learning strategies and online resources, and delivering equitable instruction to a diverse adult student population.

Qualifications

Master's degree in the field of study or an approved equivalent.
Experience teaching Math courses.
Experience teaching online courses and/or alternative instructional formats.
Experience using a Learning Management System (D2L Brightspace).
Ability to adapt instruction to diverse student needs, including accommodations and accessibility.
Ability to evaluate students' progress and meet course objectives.

Responsibilities

Instruct students in the content area and help them achieve academic success.
Follow protocols for presence, responsiveness, grading, attendance, and assessment of student learning.
Use current, effective classroom management techniques.
Monitor and improve instruction to ensure Student Learning Outcomes are met.
Evaluate student performance.
Continually improve instruction utilizing appropriate delivery methods.
Maintain currency in the teaching field and methods.
Collaborate with faculty, staff and students in a collegial style.
