Job summary

FedEx Logistics in West Columbia, SC is seeking a part-time warehouse associate to operate equipment safely for movement of packages, heavy freight and dangerous goods. You will assist in pallet buildup/breakdown and coordinate with ULD repair vendors as needed. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather is required.

Responsibilities include safe operation, adherence to training, and effective communication in a noisy environment. Drug screen and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Maneuver packages above shoulder level.
• Work in all weather conditions if required at location.
• Climb stairs and ladders if required at work location.
• Complete basic and recurrency training.
• Communicate timely and effectively in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
