Job summary

The Champaign County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Master Control Officer (Part-Time, non-exempt) to monitor and control jail security systems at the Champaign County Jail. This role reports to the Shift Commander or Supervisor and requires the ability to handle high-stress situations while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, basic office skills, and experience operating security systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Courses in typing, business machine operation or general office procedures or equivalent experience.
• Able to handle stressful situations and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control jail security devices both internally and externally.
• Maintain logs, records, reports and files; perform clerical duties.
• Interact with the public and other law enforcement agencies by phone, fax or in person.
• Perform duties as assigned by a supervisor.
