NYC Carpenters Training Center is seeking a part-time Mass Timber Framing & Installation Instructor in New York City. The instructor will deliver classroom and hands-on training in mass timber construction, ensuring adherence to safety regulations. This role requires a member in good standing with the NYC District Council of Carpenters and at least 10 years of experience in structural carpentry or mass timber construction. Qualifications

• Must be a member in Good Standing with The New York City District Council of Carpenters.
• At least 10 years of experience in structural carpentry or mass timber construction.
• Deep knowledge of mass timber materials, systems (CLT, glulam), tools, rigging practices, and installation techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement instructional programs on framing and drywall installation.
• Provide hands-on demonstrations and training in preparation and installation techniques.
• Assess member progress, offering individualized feedback and support.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment adhering to safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with members to foster engagement.
