Job summary

City of Kenner is seeking a part-time Martial Arts instructor to lead classes at approved locations. You will teach techniques, ensure safety, and reinforce department rules during instruction.

Reports to Leisure Service Supervisor and coordinates with the schedule set for karate classes. Must be able to read directives and mediate disputes professionally, while remaining active throughout class sessions.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a background in Martial Arts.
• Desirable: prior background in Martial Arts or Martial Arts instruction.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Martial Arts classes.
• Represent the Kenner Parks and Recreation Department at martial arts classes for interpretation of the rules and regulations.
• Report to the department any problems that may occur during class.
