Job summary

City of Kenner Civil Service Department is seeking a part-time aerobics instructor to teach physical fitness classes 17 hours per week. The instructor will also serve as a department representative at classes to interpret and enforce rules and regulations.

Applicants should be at least 18 years old with advanced knowledge of aerobics and physical fitness; prior experience in fitness instruction is desirable. Training location and exact schedule will be determined by the Leisure Service Division.

Qualifications

• Must be age 18 or older.
• Advanced knowledge of aerobics and physical fitness.
• Prior background in physical fitness instruction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Instruct physical fitness classes.
• Serve as representative for Kenner Parks and Recreation Department at classes to interpret rules and regulations.
• Report any problems during class to supervisor.
