Job summary

The University of the Incarnate Word's H-E-B School of Business Administration invites part-time faculty candidates for Lecturer in Marketing for spring 2027. The position will teach undergraduate and/or graduate marketing courses in a face-to-face format.

Responsibilities include preparing outlines, delivering lectures, administering assessments, and collaborating with faculty. A Master's degree is required for undergraduate teaching; a doctoral degree for graduate courses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business or marketing required for undergraduate teaching.
• Doctoral degree in business or marketing required for graduate courses.
• One year of professional work experience in marketing.
• Experience teaching at college or university preferred.
• Marketing analytics fluency and basic SQL or Python a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare course outlines and teach based on approved syllabi; deliver interactive lectures.
• Prepare and administer timely assessments for assigned courses.
• Collaborate with departmental faculty to meet curriculum outcomes.
• Be available outside class to support student learning (1 hour per 3-hour class).
• Adhere to UIW Faculty Handbook policies and procedures; timely record keeping and feedback.
• Maintain respectful relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
• Participate in department meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
