Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word invites part-time faculty candidates to join the H-E-B School of Business Administration as a Lecturer in Marketing for Spring 2027. The role involves teaching undergraduate and/or graduate marketing courses face-to-face, upholding UIW's values and ethics across activities and assignments.

Responsibilities include course preparation, assessments, and collaboration with faculty to meet curriculum outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required to teach undergraduate classes.
• Doctoral degree required to teach graduate courses.
• Experience with instructional technology is preferred.
• Willingness to teach day, evening and weekend sections as needed.
• Experience teaching at the college or university level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare course outlines and teach based on approved syllabi; deliver interactive lectures.
• Prepare and administer timely, meaningful assessments for assigned courses.
• Collaborate with department to ensure standard curriculum outcomes.
• Be available outside class to help students learn (1 hour per 3-hour class).
• Adhere to UIW Faculty Handbook and maintain timely records and feedback.
• Maintain professional relationships with faculty, staff and students.
• Communicate with department chair and participate in meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
