Job summary

Dominican University in River Forest, IL is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support the Center for Cultural Liberation. The role designs and distributes print and digital materials, retouches images, and manages CCL’s social media and events.

The ideal candidate has experience with Canva, InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with Canva, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Graphic design major/minor preferred or design portfolio.
• Experience managing social media sites (Instagram, Facebook).
• Experience with event planning and coordination.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and distribute print and digital materials (flyers, newsletter, etc.).
• Retouch and manipulate images.
• Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media.
• Assemble presentation materials for CCL staff as needed.
• Manage social media sites to share information about CCL programming.
• Ensure proactive planning, communication and evaluation of Heritage events.
• Participate in planning committee meetings (draft agendas, take notes).
• Serves on CCL planning committees, in collaboration with The Village and TDUS.
• Provides 7-8 hours a week of in-person office hours.
• Performs other duties as requested, delegated, or assigned.
