Job summary

Hy-Vee's Market Grille in Eagan, MN is seeking a part-time Clerk to join the team. You will greet customers, take orders, and ensure fresh, quality items are ready for service.

You will work with a team to keep the counter running smoothly, operate the register, manage inventory needs, and maintain clean, safe work areas. Night and weekend shifts are required, with on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus.
• No education required; Hy-Vee provides training.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the Market Grille counter.
• Take customer orders and answer the telephone promptly; manage product orders.
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and replenish as necessary.
• Pull product from cooler/freezer to prepare for cooking and ensure adequate supply.
• Operate the department register and handle payments.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Assist in other store areas as needed and support special projects.
