Job summary

University of Florida in Okaloosa seeks a Part-Time UF/IFAS 4-H Camp Timpoochee Environmental Education Educator to deliver marine and environmental education to K-12 students through day programs, residentials, and outreach.

The role requires a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred) and the ability to pass a background screen. Housing may be available on-site; Red Cross certifications are provided for staff. Typical schedule is weekdays with ~30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent is minimum requirements.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in sciences, education, natural resources, youth development, recreation or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Teach, organize, and evaluate educational programs focused on marine resources to K-12 students.
• Provide programmatic support to maintain and increase marine and environmental education classes, activities, and materials.
• Assist with animal care for education animals.
• Help maintain clean facilities used for educational programs on-site.
• May assist with dining hall duties for on-site programs.
• Help with other programmatic responsibilities as needed.
