Job summary

Texas State University seeks candidates for a temporary, nontenured faculty pool in the Manufacturing Engineering program. The Ingram School of Engineering will consider applicants for fall 2026, spring 2027 and summer 2027 semesters, to teach at the San Marcos campus.

Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering and strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a PhD and prior teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field.
• Strong academic background in areas such as CAE, CAD/CAM, robotics, manufacturing processes, dynamics of machinery, and related disciplines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to four courses per semester at the San Marcos campus.
• Appointments are temporary/non-tenured and depend on student demand and funding.
• Engage in ongoing evaluation and participate in program activities as needed.
