Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform examinations, conduct QA/QC, and support radiologists during breast biopsies. You will educate patients about procedures and ensure comfort and safety throughout the exam.

Responsibilities include accurate categorization of mammograms, recording results, and contributing to a compassionate, patient-centered imaging service.

Qualifications

• Completion of ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program.
• ARRT certification; registry eligible in mammography; 24 continuing education credits per biennium.
• Certification or recertification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within three months of hire.
• One year of experience as a Registered Radiographer; registry eligible in mammography.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and perform push/pull tasks up to 35 lbs.
• Preferred: BS degree (BS).
• Preferred: ARRT certification in mammography with CE credits every 3 years.
• Preferred: 1 year of mammography experience including 3D mammography.

Responsibilities

• Performs and records the results of quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Assists Radiologist with biopsies and needle localizations (breast ultrasound and stereo/guided core biopsies).
• Determines whether a mammogram is screening or diagnostic.
• Performs mammography examinations and educates patients about Hospital services and treatments.
• Collects patient history and explains exam scope; ensures patient/family understanding.
• Monitors safety and comfort of patients during the exam.
