Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide safe, high-quality imaging and patient support in a part-time role. You will join a collaborative radiology team, ensuring accurate exams, proper labeling, and adherence to safety standards.

The position emphasizes clinical expertise in mammography, patient communication, and commitment to patient comfort within a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol with two identifiers.
• Explain the exam and gather relevant history to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and accuracy before releasing patients.
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment safely and keep it clean per guidelines.
• Document QC tests and ensure accurate labeling in PACS/RIS.
