Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center seeks a part-time Mammography Technologist to provide safe, high-quality imaging while supporting patient education and comfort. This role offers a stable schedule with balancing clinical work and personal life in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate brings ARRT-R and ARRT-M credentials, at least 1 year of radiography experience including mammography, and a collaborative mindset to join a busy imaging team in Georgia.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent completed.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications with BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol with two identifiers.
• Gather patient history, screen contraindications, and explain exam to reduce anxiety (AIDET).
• Protect privacy, dignity, and comfort; assist with transfers as needed.
• Review images for quality; strive for first-time acceptance before release.
• Clarify unclear orders; assist in emergencies across imaging areas as needed.
• Operate equipment safely; optimize dose and maintain infection control standards.
