Job summary

Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, North Carolina, is seeking a Part-time Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic breast imaging. The role requires ARRT certification with mammography credentials within one year of hire and BLS certification, with 1–3 years of experience preferred at hire.

You will operate with PACS and hospital IT systems, ensure patient safety, and participate in education of radiology students and residents while maintaining HIPAA and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and BLS required; Mammography ARRT certification within 1 year of hire.
• 1–3 years' experience preferred at hire.
• Experience with diagnostic imaging equipment or accredited Nuclear Medicine program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams with patient safety and comfort.
• Review patient history and support clinical information for accuracy of the exam.
• Ensure orders are complete and medically necessary.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal image quality.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare staff clearly and empathetically.
• Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with daily imaging department operations and education of students.
