Job summary

CHC Addiction Services in Akron is seeking full-time Residential Aides for RAMAR, our men\'s residential facility. The team will monitor residents, provide case management and transportation, and uphold CHC policies and procedures.

You\'ll assist with nightly security, document shift activities, and cover evenings, weekends, and holidays. CHC offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities for dedicated staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma required.
• BA with CDCA preferred.
• Experience with drug and alcohol recovery process.
• Clean driving record.
• Not restricted from exposure to medication by any governing body.
• First Aid and CPR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents and direct activities to ensure policy compliance.
• Provide case management and transportation for residents to appointments.
• Assist with nightly security procedures.
• Document shift activities and residents' behavior in the residential log book.

Job description

CHC Addiction Services is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. CHC has been a critical part of Ohio’s efforts to treat and prevent substance use disorders since 1974.

We are currently looking for full time Residential Aides for RAMAR our men's residential facility. The facility is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, weekends, overnight, etc. and we are looking for individuals to cover all shifts. Will be responsible for: Monitoring and directing the activities of residents to ensure that they follow house rules and CHC Addiction Services policies and procedures; Providing case management and transportation for Residents to and from scheduled appointments or activities; Assisting with nightly security procedure; Providing Residents crisis intervention when necessary; Appropriately document shift activities and residents behavior in residential log book.

Minimum Requirements: Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, High school diploma, BA with CDCA preferred, experience with drug and alcohol recovery process, and clean driving record. Meets CHC requirement to not be restricted from exposure to medication by any governing body. Training in First Aid and CPR preferred.
