Job summary

CHC Addiction Services in the Akron area is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities and equipment in a safe and operational manner. The role includes general building repairs, light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and minor restoration work.

The position offers a starting wage of $23 per hour, an on-site schedule from 7:00am to 3:00pm (Mon-Fri) with occasional evenings and weekends for projects or emergencies. Benefits and company-sponsored training are included.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma and be experienced in diversified industrial, construction, or facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of building construction, electrical, heating, plumbing repair, drywall repair, tiling and floor repair.
• Must be familiar with tools, equipment and practices ordinarily required for building maintenance.
• Organized self-starter and able to work independently or with a team.
• Must have a good driving record and a valid Ohio driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Providing general maintenance and repair to CHC buildings and properties.
• Rehabbing of apartments/ bedrooms as needed.
• Providing light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry services.
• Minor tiling/ floor repairs as needed.
• Drywall repair/painting.
• Moving furniture if needed.
• Providing some custodian services.
• Snow removal as needed.
• Paid On-Call Rotation.

CHC Addiction Services is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction.

We are currently looking for a motivated, conscientious and dedicated full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities and equipment in a safe and operational manner.

Duties Include:

• Providing general maintenance and repair to CHC buildings and properties.


• Rehabbing of apartments/ bedrooms as needed.


• Providing light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry services.


• Minor Tiling/ Floor repairs as needed.


• Drywall Repair/Painting.


• Moving furniture if needed.


• Providing some custodian services.


• Snow removal as needed.


• Paid On-Call Rotation.

Although the normal schedule will be 7:00am-3:00pm Monday through Friday, there may be occasional evening and weekend hours as projects or emergencies arise.

Starting Wage: $23 per hour.

Minimum Requirements

Must have High School Diploma and be experienced in diversified industrial, construction, or facility maintenance, have knowledge of building construction, electrical, heating, plumbing repair, drywall repair, tiling ad floor repair and painting. Must also be familiar with tools, equipment and practices ordinarily required for building maintenance. Must be an organized self starter, will to work both independently or with a team. Must have a good driving record and a valid Ohio Drivers license.
