Job summary

CHC Addiction Services in Akron, OH, seeks a full-time Residential Aide for RAMAR, our men’s residential facility. The role covers all shifts and includes monitoring residents, case management and transport to appointments, security duties, crisis intervention, and logging activities and events.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma (BA with CDCA preferred), experience in the addiction recovery field, and a clean driving record. First Aid/CPR training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; BA with CDCA preferred.
• Experience with drug and alcohol recovery process.
• Clean driving record required.
• First Aid and CPR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and direct residents to follow house rules and CHC policies.
• Provide case management and transportation to appointments/activities.
• Assist with nightly security procedures.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Document shift activities and resident behavior in the log book.

CHC Addiction Services is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. CHC has been a critical part of Ohio’s efforts to treat and prevent substance use disorders since 1974.

We are currently looking for full time Residential Aides for RAMAR our men's residential facility. The facility is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, weekends, overnight, etc. and we are looking for individuals to cover all shifts. Will be responsible for: Monitoring and directing the activities of residents to ensure that they follow house rules and CHC Addiction Services policies and procedures; Providing case management and transportation for Residents to and from scheduled appointments or activities; Assisting with nightly security procedure; Providing Residents crisis intervention when necessary; Appropriately document shift activities and residents behavior in residential log book.

Minimum Requirements: Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, High school diploma, BA with CDCA preferred, experience with drug and alcohol recovery process, and clean driving record. Meets CHC requirement to not be restricted from exposure to medication by any governing body. Training in First Aid and CPR preferred.
