Job summary

College of Southern Maryland invites applications for adjunct instructors at the CSM Velocity Center Makerspace in Indian Head, MD. This pool is for part-time, temporary faculty to teach makerspace skill-building curricula using a variety of applications, tools, and emerging technologies.

Instructors will deliver engaging curriculum, develop lesson plans, and emphasize creativity, experimentation, and the applied use of makerspace equipment.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise in digital fabrication and related tools.
• Proficiency with standard computer skills.
• Experience teaching or training adults is preferred.
• Availability to teach evenings and Saturdays.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging curriculum aligned with hands-on experiential learning.
• Develop lesson plans promoting creativity and experimentation.
