Job summary

Urban Self Storage is seeking a dedicated part-time Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This role supports five facilities in the region, performing routine maintenance, repairs, and safety checks to keep units and buildings in top condition.

The position runs Tuesday through Saturday, about 27 hours per week, with duties including upkeep, record-keeping, and prompt responses to maintenance requests. Prior maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance work.
• Regular use of power tools.
• Positive energy with a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry work.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and mobile apps.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks at five self-storage facilities (Philomath, Corvallis, Albany, Keizer, Woodburn).
• Conduct repairs and upkeep of storage units, buildings and equipment.
• Ensure the property is clean, safe and well-maintained.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Report daily to Store Manager with progress and pending tasks.
