General Definition of Work
- This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair work to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. The technician will handle a wide range of tasks including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Functions
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, HVAC maintenance, plumbing repairs, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Inspect and repair equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal functioning.
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with facility infrastructure, including doors, windows, flooring, and locks.
- Maintain and update maintenance logs to track all repairs and services performed.
- Completes and tracks preventative maintenance on facility systems per prescribed plan.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems when needed.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all safety procedures are followed during maintenance work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to workplace safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
HOURS
- Part-time position with flexible hours. Availability for evening and weekend shifts may be required.
