Job summary

Savannah Convention Center is seeking a part-time General Maintenance Technician to join our team in Savannah, GA. The role covers general maintenance across trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and more, with duties to support events and exhibitors.

The candidate should have a high school diploma (trade school a plus) and at least 2 years of trade experience in convention or related environments, with the ability to work irregular hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image representing SCC with emphasis on customer service.
• Assist with installation of engineering services for building events.
• Maintain equipment and tools; notify manager of repairs.
• Work irregular hours due to event-based schedule.
• Participate in training programs and departmental meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
