Job summary

Pinellas County Housing Authority in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician (Part Time) to keep our properties safe and well-maintained for residents. You’ll work with our maintenance team to handle orders, install equipment, and perform general upkeep while adhering to safety standards.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a Florida Class E driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to participate in rotating on-call

Responsibilities

• Painting unit interiors, exteriors, and common areas
• Completing assigned work orders and obtaining necessary materials and supplies
• Installing equipment according to instructions, codes, and safe work practices
• Assisting with property and grounds upkeep as needed
• Performing general clean-up and janitorial duties
• Moving equipment, materials, and other large or bulky items
• Helping maintain tools and equipment

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, no two days will look exactly the same. You’ll work independently and alongside our maintenance team to keep PCHA properties and apartment homes in great working condition.

Your work may include:

• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, electrical metering devices, lawn equipment, and other maintenance equipment

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Availability to participate in rotating after-hours on-call assignments
