Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in maintenance or related field is required.
  • Availability for nights/weekends and reliable transportation is necessary.

Part Time Maintenance Technician

Up to 30 hours per week

I. SUMMARY

Under supervision, responsible for basic building repairs and grounds maintenance, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Facility Upkeep

  • Maintain buildings and equipment, implement preventive maintenance.
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry repairs, and painting.
  • Maintain equipment and grounds, including landscaping and snow removal.
  • Move and assemble furniture, run errands.

Monitoring

  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections, maintain records.

Communication

  • Attend safety meetings, promote effective communication.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
III. BASIC SKILL SETS
  • Effective communication, physical strength, knowledge of building trades.
  • Ability to organize, follow directions, work independently and as part of a team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Vo-tech or Tech school certificate.
  • Two years’ experience in maintenance or related field.
  • Availability for nights/weekends, reliable transportation, live within 30 minutes of campus.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk stairs, drive, and work evenings/weekends.
