Job summary

Allegro Harrington Park is seeking a skilled Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team in Harrington Park, NJ. You will work Wednesday through Saturday (32 hours/week), performing routine and preventive maintenance to keep our senior living community safe, functional, and welcoming for residents.

Join a professional team and support the Maintenance Director on repairs, safety inspections, and move‑in/move‑out readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year maintenance experience — required.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems — required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with scheduled and as‑needed repair and upkeep projects.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
• Respond promptly to work orders and resident maintenance requests.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with community maintenance standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop.
• Support move‑in and move‑out unit turnover as needed.
