Job summary

Grandhaven Senior Living is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to uphold the upkeep and appearance of our property. You will perform general maintenance with emphasis on painting, repairs, and preventive tasks in a hands-on, detail-oriented role.

The position supports a clean and safe environment and requires reliable transportation. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, painting proficiency, and basic plumbing/electrical/carpentry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
• Experience with painting (prep, finishing, different surfaces) required
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Physically able to lift up to up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks
• Reliable transportation is an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
• Prepare surfaces and complete interior and exterior painting projects
• Patch drywall, sand, prime, and apply paint finishes
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
• Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with regulations
