Genesis HealthCare is seeking a part-time Maintenance Helper to support our nursing center in Berks County. The role offers 20 hours per week with no weekend shifts, performing routine repairs and maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include basic repairs, HVAC filter changes, lifting supplies, and stepping in as Maintenance supervisor in their absence. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic trade knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stocks supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.
