Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents. This part-time role (about 20 hours per week) reports to the Maintenance Director and covers interior, exterior, and grounds upkeep while supporting preventative maintenance, move-in refurbishments, and safety documentation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on carpentry, painting, and plumbing skills, basic computing ability, and a collaborative approach

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
• Accredited maintenance training may substitute for work experience.
• State license(s) as required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Knowledge of carpentry, drywall repair, painting, light plumbing and preventative maintenance.
• Proficient with basic computer systems, browsers, Microsoft Office and electronic records platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building interiors to high cleanliness standards and perform carpet, furniture, and flooring upkeep.
• Support grounds maintenance and collaborate with contractors for exterior repairs.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs for equipment and systems.
• Prepare and refurbish apartments for move-ins, including patching and painting.
• Maintain safety records, respond to emergencies, and keep SDS catalog updated.
• Schedule and document preventative maintenance and track work orders.
• Operate building management software to record tasks and turnovers.
• Communicate with residents' families regarding well-being and updates.
• Collaborate with staff and management, and participate in teamwork initiatives.
